- They Shout Hello
Katherine, working from home in Leyton E10, repairing soft toys and re-upholstering fabric rocking horses. She takes only a few toys at a time and most go back within days, and in winter, when the heating is on and things dry quickly, an uncomplicated repair can be done the same day if you drop it early and collect before bedtime. Almost nothing else in the UK offers that.

How this list was built
Every entry was read off the business's own public pages. 1 of the 2 looks untouched for years: a copyright several years old, a shop promising to reopen on a date that has passed, a page booked through a year that is over. We do not name which, because we have not asked any of them and being publicly guessed at is not something you should take from a stranger.
That rate depends on how you look. Businesses found by search alone are flagged at 38%; those found through trade lists and associations, 18%. Search rewards an old site with old links, so a list built only from search carries twice as many ghosts as one built from the trade itself.
