  • Paul Davis Restoration of North Dallas

Part of a national disaster restoration franchise, cleaning up after fire, water, mould and storm. Fabric and textile restoration after fire or water damage, working through your insurer. Stuffed animals and taxidermy are both on their list. The detail that matters: within 24 to 48 hours of the first visit they return a rush order of essentials, and they name a beloved stuffed animal as one of the things a family needs back that fast.

  • BrightSide Restoration

A disaster restoration company covering Southern California, working insurance claims after fire, smoke, water and mould. • Shamrock Cleaners

A Tallahassee dry cleaner of twenty-five years with a fire and flood restoration arm, fur and leather work, and complimentary pickup and delivery. Their advice on hurricane damage is the most useful thing they publish: photograph everything before you clean or throw anything away, because documentation decides what an insurer will pay for and what a restorer can save.

  • Prism Specialties

A national specialty restoration franchise covering electronics, art, documents and textiles for insurance claims. How this list was built

Every entry was read off the business's own public pages. 1 of the 15 looks untouched for years: a copyright several years old, a shop promising to reopen on a date that has passed, a page booked through a year that is over. We do not name which, because we have not asked any of them and being publicly guessed at is not something you should take from a stranger.

That rate depends on how you look. Businesses found by search alone are flagged at 38%; those found through trade lists and associations, 18%. Search rewards an old site with old links, so a list built only from search carries twice as many ghosts as one built from the trade itself.
